In 2026 there will be new calls under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) as part of the MSCA 2026-2027 Work Programme and wider Horizon Europe 2026-2027 Work Programme.
Through funding opportunities referred to as actions, the MSCA programme promotes high standards in doctoral and postdoctoral training, encourages cooperation between academia and other sectors, and supports strong links between Europe and the rest of the world by funding research across all academic disciplines.
2026 MSCA Timeline
Funding to create or enhance doctoral training and postdoctoral fellowship programmes.
When to apply: 16 December 2025 – 8 April 2026
Funding for international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary exchanges and knowledge sharing.
When to apply: 16 December 2025 – 16 April 2026
Funding for postdoctoral researchers to carry out their research activities abroad. European Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers moving within Europe or coming to Europe from another part of the world, while Global Postdoctoral Fellowships fund the mobility of researchers outside Europe.
When to apply: 9 April 2026 – 9 September 2026
Funding to implement doctoral programmes through partnerships between organisations from different sectors across Europe and beyond.
When to apply: 28 May 2026 – 24 November 2026
