The Public Health Research Programme would like to draw attention to the following commissioning briefs reflecting areas of research interest with funding gaps yet to be filled:
- 2024/215 Increasing uptake of vaccinations in populations where there is low uptake
- 2024/214 Suicide prevention
- 24/63 Workforce health
- 24/62 Active travel facilitators and barriers to different populations
- 24/61 Healthy homes – overcrowding
- 24/29 The health of children and young people in contact with the criminal justice system
- 23/146 Interventions to support the health of women in prison or post-release
- 22/81 Healthy extended working lives
- 22/79 Stop-smoking interventions for under-served groups
These topics are being flagged because NIHR has not funded enough research against the full scope of each broad specification and is therefore interested in receiving further applications in these areas.
