The NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme and the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) are offering a series of webinars aimed at encouraging and supporting those interested in applying for social care research funding.
The funding scheme in question, NIHR’s HTA Programme, is designed to evaluate how effectively healthcare treatments, tests and other interventions improve the lives of individuals who use and often rely on health and social care services.
Webinars will bring together social care experts from the NIHR HTA programme and the RSS Specialist Centre for Social Care, providing an overview of funding opportunities and the support available to help you develop an application.
HTA Social Care Methodology, Outcomes and Interventions (24 June 2026)
This webinar will cover:
- research methodology – study design and justification
- how to describe the intervention in your application
- outcome measures – how to justify and provide sufficient detail
HTA Social Care Team Expertise and Involvement with the RSS (22 July 2026)
This webinar will cover:
- how and when to involve the Research Support Service (RSS)
- study team expertise
- the importance of lived experience input and PPIE
- equality, diversity and inclusion
