Small grants to enable eligible UK R&D organisations to form strong consortia, develop project ideas, and ultimately submit high-quality applications to Horizon Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call is focused solely on Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe<\/a>: ‘Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within Pillar 2, applications for this pump priming funding can be used to in one of two ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. To address Calls and Topics from the 2024 Work Programmes onwards (i.e. Calls and Topics with 2024 in the call code) that are listed on the Horizon Europe funding portal<\/a> as either \u2018open for submission\u2019 or \u2018forthcoming\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. To review the European Commission’s Strategic Orientations documents<\/a>, which give an indication of the content that future calls will focus on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    From either source, applicants may target any type of action and focus on any cluster in Pillar 2:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
