Such work should be unlikely to be funded by other funding bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Researchers from anywhere in Europe who hold a PhD are eligible to apply as Principal Investigator to lead a small group of 2-10 scholars (which may include graduate students).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\">VALUE AND DURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grants of up to \u00a37,100 are available for one or more short periods of face-to-face joint group work such as workshops, working-in-pairs, or short academic visits over a period of up to one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The awards are intended as providing flexible support for the activities of the group \u2013 for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>relief from teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>research and travel expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fieldwork and practical work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stipends are not provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\">KEY DATES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Deadline: 10 January 2025<\/strong> (applicants are strongly advised to submit applications well in advance of the deadline)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applicants can expect to be informed of the result of their applications by email by the end of May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funded activity must commence no later than the end of December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Full details can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isrf.org\/funding-opportunities\/grant-competitions\/fg11\/?utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=email\">opportunity webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isrf.org\/funding-opportunities\/grant-competitions\/small-group-projects\/\">Grants previously awarded<\/a> can also be viewed on the ISRF website (some sample proposals are included).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Funding for researchers to explore and present original research ideas which take new approaches, and suggest new solutions, to real world social problems.
