{"id":427,"date":"2024-06-17T13:20:18","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T13:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=427"},"modified":"2024-06-17T13:20:18","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T13:20:18","slug":"official-development-assistance-oda-global-innovation-fellowships-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=427","title":{"rendered":"Official Development Assistance (ODA) Global Innovation Fellowships 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"283\" height=\"114\" src=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/BA-logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-429\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>An opportunity for UK-based early- and mid-career researchers from across the humanities and social sciences to develop their skills, networks and careers in the creative and cultural, public, private and policy sectors to address challenges that require innovative approaches and solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Researchers in the SHAPE community will be supported to create new and deeper links beyond academia \u2013 the aim being to have a mutually beneficial partnership between the fellowship award holder and a partner organisation, with each able to take advantage of fresh perspectives and expand their networks and reach. The partner organisation must be based in at least one of the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brazil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Egypt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indonesia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jordan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kenya<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Malaysia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Philippines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>South Africa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>T\u00fcrkiye<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any country from the UN list of <a href=\"https:\/\/unctad.org\/topic\/least-developed-countries\/list\">Least Developed Countries<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are invited in any of the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Environment, Sustainability &amp; Nature<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transformative Technologies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Health &amp; Wellbeing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cities &amp; Urbanisation<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global Order, Geopolitics and International Affairs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible activities and outputs can involve, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evidence notes \u2013 reports, notes and responses to key challenges\/approaches for developing connections with policy leaders or innovators.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data analysis \u2013 identifying and analysing datasets that may be relevant to enhancing understanding and framing new solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Case studies \u2013 exploring practical or policy-orientated solutions, engagement between academic and non-academic environments and the wider benefits to individuals\/communities\/regions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Briefings\/blogs\/podcasts\/videos and other outputs to reach a variety of audiences and environments, including policymakers (where relevant).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conferences\/workshops\/webinars\/toolkits and other training opportunities which enable knowledge exchange.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards are for 12 months and worth up to \u00a3150,000 on an 80% FEC basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible applicants must be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom with a current long-term appointment that will continue for at least as long as the period of the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-decoration:underline;text-transform:uppercase\">Key Dates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: 6 November 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting period of award:\u00a0Fellowships are expected to <strong>commence by September 2025<\/strong>.
