{"id":415,"date":"2024-06-11T12:57:57","date_gmt":"2024-06-11T12:57:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=415"},"modified":"2024-06-11T12:57:57","modified_gmt":"2024-06-11T12:57:57","slug":"motability-foundation-research-grant-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=415","title":{"rendered":"Motability Foundation &#8211; Research Grant Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"393\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Motability-Foundation.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Motability-Foundation.png 393w, https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Motability-Foundation-300x115.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 393px) 100vw, 393px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grants to undertake research to help better understand the problems that disabled people face in the transport system and how they can be solved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following are examples of research areas where the Motability Foundation is focusing its grant-making, including but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research into barriers and challenges faced by disabled people when accessing or using transport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transport-related research that identifies good practice and evaluates solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting research to inform and improve new or existing transport-related programmes and product design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funding can be used for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full cost recovery grants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research work which fits within the three routes to impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff costs to undertake research or evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revenue costs to support the research or evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Costs to engage the skills of an independent research or evaluation organisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partnership working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examples of funded work include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An evaluation of current work to scale up provision or evidence need to upscale work nationally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research into the challenges and solutions for disabled people in rural communities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understanding experiences of disabled people when travelling by public transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Applications may be submitted at any time before March 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motabilityfoundation.org.uk\/charitable-grants\/grants-to-charities-and-organisations\/research-grant-programme\/\">View full guidance for applicants<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grants to undertake research to help better understand the problems that disabled people face in the transport system and how they can be solved.
