There are no predetermined priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advanced Grants may be awarded up to \u20ac2.5 million for a period of 5 years (pro rata for projects of shorter duration). However, an additional \u20ac1 million can be made available&nbsp;to cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>eligible start-up costs for researchers moving from a third country to the EU or an associated country and\/or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the purchase of major equipment and\/or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access to large facilities and\/or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other major experimental and field work costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are expected to be active researchers who have a track-record of significant research achievements in the last 10 years. There are no specific eligibility criteria with respect to other academic requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that ERC grants support projects carried out by&nbsp;an individual researcher&nbsp;(Principal Investigator) who can employ researchers of any nationality as team members.
