In advance of the symposium, participants will be able to discuss their research and exchange ideas among themselves, begin to discuss the session themes and make connections for possible future activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Themes and questions to be addressed could include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>contested society and nature conceptualisations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>social and environmental justice perspectives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>norms and values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sustainability and resilience in coupled human-nature systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>knowledge generation and narrative development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The format of the event itself will allow for extensive discussion and debate, with considerable time set aside for this and wider networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible applicants must be early career researchers (understood as up to ten years after obtaining a PhD) affiliated with research institutions in the UK or Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications will be evaluated based on the applicant&#8217;s research interest in the theme of &#8216;Humans and Nature: More resilient towards the future&#8217;, commitment to interdisciplinary engagement, and potential for career development through symposium participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">VALUE AND DURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel, accommodation, and visa costs will be covered.
