an\u00a0<strong>interdisciplinary research network<\/strong>\u00a0that brings together researchers and innovators to investigate a specific topic for a period of four years.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is possible to join and participate in an existing network once it is up and running, even if you were not involved at the proposal phase (this applies throughout the entire lifespan of a COST Action), and <strong>80 newly-approved research networks<\/strong> are now available to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cost.eu\/cost-actions-event\/browse-actions\/\">browse<\/a> on the COST website and in the document at the bottom of this post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Actions cover topics as wide and varied as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>psychosis prevention<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>silent fans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>neuromorphic computing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>vaccines for overall health benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>artificial intelligence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conservation of modern art<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>parental and children well-being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These networks are well-suited to multidisciplinary collaboration, with 61% of the new Actions covering at least two OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) fields of science and technology, while 20% cover at least three fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 80 new COST Actions in other figures: <\/p>\n\n\n<div href=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=2294\">Open Call for brand new COST Action proposals<\/a> will open on 31 July 2026 and close on 28 October 2026.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr
