{"id":2259,"date":"2026-04-15T13:48:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T13:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=2259"},"modified":"2026-04-15T13:48:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T13:48:19","slug":"bera-small-grants-fund-2026-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=2259","title":{"rendered":"BERA Small Grants Fund 2026\/27"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"339\" height=\"75\" src=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BERA.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BERA.png 339w, https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BERA-300x66.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 339px) 100vw, 339px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Funding to support research focusing on the professional development of early years workforce for a flourishing early years sector both in the UK and worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are invited within one\u00a0or\u00a0more\u00a0of the\u00a0following\u00a0areas:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Professional\u00a0development\u00a0and\u00a0retention\u00a0of\u00a0practitioners\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0early\u00a0years\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication, talk and celebrating\u00a0additional\u00a0languages \u2013 professional development in\u00a0supporting\u00a0language diversity in the early years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematics\u00a0professional\u00a0development\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0early\u00a0years\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional learning communities and\u00a0team\u00a0work in\u00a0the early\u00a0years\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are encouraged to identify audiences beyond teacher educators such as training teachers and policymakers to maximise its impact and contribution to debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key output is a final report of between 2,000-3,000 words to be published by BERA. Recipients of the funding are also expected to write at least one BERA Blog on the subject of their research and are strongly encouraged to submit their work to present at the BERA Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Educational researchers in any context, or at any career stage, are invited to apply.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All applicants must be a current individual member of BERA and where possible, teams of researchers should include an early career researcher.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">VALUE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of each individual award is up to \u00a35,000 and BERA normally budgets for funding of up to three projects.
