{"id":2091,"date":"2026-02-19T16:21:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T16:21:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=2091"},"modified":"2026-02-19T16:21:48","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T16:21:48","slug":"nihr-school-for-social-care-research-postdoctoral-research-fellowships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/?p=2091","title":{"rendered":"NIHR School for Social Care Research postdoctoral research fellowships"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"59\" src=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/NIHR-latest-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2092\" srcset=\"https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/NIHR-latest-1.png 600w, https:\/\/researchfunding.on.worc.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/NIHR-latest-1-300x30.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Funding to support postdoctoral researchers&nbsp;committed to developing independent careers in social care research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These fellowships will enable holders to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>undertake their own research projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>publish findings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop new methodological skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>prepare for future funding opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellows will also benefit from training, mentoring, and integration within SSCR\u2019s vibrant research community and will become NIHR Academy Members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for funding, applicants must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>hold a PhD (or have submitted their thesis for examination at the time of application) in social care, social policy, or a relevant discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a demonstrable track record of research excellence and commitment to social care research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be a UK citizen or have confirmed right to work in the UK for the duration of the award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">VALUE AND DURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards can be held for up to\u00a024 months full-time\u00a0and\u00a0are worth up to \u00a3200,000.
