However, RfPB is participating in the following <strong>highlight notices that may be of interest to University of Worcester researchers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding\/research-patient-benefit-november-2025\/2025425-2025426-2025437#highlight-notices-areas-of-research-interest-3---shaping-and-supporting-the-health-and-social-care-workforce-of-the-future\">Shaping and supporting the health and social care workforce of the future<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding\/research-patient-benefit-november-2025\/2025425-2025426-2025437#highlight-notices-work-and-health\">Work and Health<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications must be made through an NHS body or other provider of NHS services in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018NHS body\u2019 means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the Board<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an Integrated Care System<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a Special Health Authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an NHS trust<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an NHS foundation trust.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that RfPB allows a maximum of 11 members on a research team (either one lead applicant and 10 co-applicants or 2 joint-lead applicants and 9 co-applicants).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">VALUE AND DURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding up to \u00a3500,000 is available for up to 36 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NIHR guidance suggests that applicants work within the following broad cost tiers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>up to \u00a3500,000 for research that might have fairly immediate patient benefit (such as a randomised controlled clinical trial)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>up to \u00a3300,000 for research in preparation for full trials, including feasibility studies and pilots depending on the extent of uncertainties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>up to \u00a3200,000 for more upstream research, such as observational studies or proof of concept studies, that will generate results that may be useful for more downstream investigations or might carry a higher risk of failing to achieve patient benefit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">KEY DATES<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outline application deadline: 4 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full application opening date: June 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full application deadline: July 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding decision: November 2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>More information, including application guidance and full details of the highlight notices with links to further resources, can be found in the document below and on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/funding\/research-patient-benefit-november-2025\/2025425-2025426-2025437\">opportunity webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NIHR Research for Patient Benefit - a journey of 1000 projects\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iSw8Q8Qf06g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
