The systematic review will underpin a forthcoming\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/foundations.org.uk\/about-practice-guides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Practice Guide<\/a>\u00a0on this topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Practice Guides have been commissioned by the Department for Education, to support delivery of the Children\u2019s Social Care National Framework. Find out more:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/foundations.org.uk\/toolkit\/practice-guides\">foundations.org.uk\/toolkit\/practice-guides.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research aims<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this review is to use robust systematic methods to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify interventions with strong evidence of improving outcomes for children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse (exact population still to be determined &#8211; recommendations from applicants welcome).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the types of support available which can help improve these outcomes for children and young people. This includes components of intervention delivery and population characteristics that may influence effectiveness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the enablers and barriers to successful implementation of interventions for children and young people who are victims\/survivors of child sexual abuse.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>What works:<\/strong> Which interventions are effective in supporting and improving outcomes in children and young people aged between 0\u201325 who are victims\/survivors of child sexual abuse?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>For whom:<\/strong> What are the different types of interventions, how are they defined, and which models are effective for different populations of children and young people aged between 0\u201325?\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>How and why:<\/strong> What practice elements and intervention components are associated with successful interventions when supporting this population?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Implementation:<\/strong> What are the enablers and barriers to successful implementation of interventions when supporting victims\/survivors and their families?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>User perspectives and needs:<\/strong> What are the views of intervention users and practitioners about the acceptability and usefulness of child sexual abuse interventions?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The systematic review needs to follow guidance set out by PRISMA-E.
