Applications are particularly encouraged from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nihr.ac.uk\/glossary#letter-h\">regulated health and care professionals<\/a>:\u00a0<ul><li>nurses<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>midwives<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>allied health professionals<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>pharmacists<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>healthcare scientists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>social workers and public health professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>researchers in methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>applicants who are disabled\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-green-cyan-background-color has-background\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\">VALUE AND DURATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding can be requested for up to 12 months (awards are normally expected to last a minimum of six months).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This award provides flexible funding for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a contribution towards salary costs to provide time to prepare an application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conference costs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>training and development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support and mentorship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>other direct costs where additional support is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note on training:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This award can fund training in working with people and communities.
